What is the Futrsmpl Canvas?

The strategy snapshot is a tool to help businesses get clarity on the 3 key elements required to create a meaningful strategy - knowing where you are, where you are going, and what obstacles are in your way.

It takes you through 4 stages:

  1. Where you are now

  2. Where you are going

  3. Obstacles in your way

  4. Getting there

As businesses, we are often so focused on where we are going that we do not fully take the time to understand where we actually are right now. But even in the most simple terms, Google Maps can not provide you with directions to your destination if it doesn't know your starting point.

Why would it be useful to my business?

The tool is useful in many ways:

Filling in the canvas:

  • Helps you identify gaps in your current understanding of your business so you can create a plan to improve them

  • Gives you a priority rating using a Red, Amber, Green Scale.

  • Requires you to be concise in your answers forcing you to really hone in on the important parts rather than the fluff.

  • Ensures you are creating rounded, customer-focused strategies, for all stages of the customer journey

Once it is complete:

  • Gives you quarterly targets to aim towards and revisit to ensure you are achieving traction

  • A shareable culture document for circulating with your team

  • Accountability - what worked, what didn't, how can we improve
